Farewell to "Aloha"
It is reported that Aloha Airlines shutted down its passenger business last week after serving the inter-islands of Hawaii of US for more than 60 years.
It was the heated competition, the higher costs and no qualified buyer to take over during the required time period, according to the report, which made Aloha closed. The annoucement of the bad news appeared at the web page of Aloha Airlines with only one sentence:
"Sorry...
After more than 60 years of serving Hawaii
Aloha Airlines is no longer operating its Passenger Services operations."
I flew several times with Aloha Airlines when I travelled to Hawaii. The experience was not bad and the air service was just as the name of it, full of the spirit of "Aloha".
I was wondering what flights will take over the position of Aloha Airlines, covering the inter-islands Hawaii. Apart from Aloha, there were another two local and low fare flights reported shutting down in the Unite States.
Compared to the sad tragedy at the other side we, in China, have not heard any one shut down here. Let's enjoy the "blue sky with sunshine up above right here, right now!
